This recipe for baked Greek feta cheese is simple, yet incredibly delicious. The combination of the melted cheese, juicy cherry tomatoes, spring onions and fresh oregano gives the dish a delicious variety of flavors. The Minos olive oil provides the Mediterranean touch and completes the taste experience.
Ingredients for 2 people:
- 1 block of Greek feta cheese (approx. 200 g)
- 200 g cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 spring onions, cut into rings
- 1 small red pepper, deseeded and cut into small cubes
- Fresh oregano (or dried oregano)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Minos ORGANIC Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Place the Greek feta cheese in an ovenproof dish.
- Distribute the halved cherry tomatoes, spring onions and diced red peppers around the feta cheese.
- Sprinkle the fresh oregano over the ingredients. Alternatively, you can also use dried oregano.
- Season with a pinch of salt and fresh black pepper.
- Pour a generous splash of Minos olive oil over the feta cheese and ingredients.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake the Greek feta cheese for about 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is soft and the tomatoes burst slightly.
- Remove the baked feta cheese from the oven and serve hot.
- You can serve it as a starter with fresh bread, pita or crackers. Or enjoy it as a side dish with grilled meat or salads.
