Honey-feta sticks in filo pastry

Honey feta sticks in filo pastry are a delicious Greek appetizer that is perfect as a snack or as an accompaniment to a glass of wine. These crispy, sweet and salty bites are ideal for social evenings and bring a piece of Greece straight to your home.

Ingredients for 2 servings:

Preparation time: 20 minutes

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Cut the filo pastry sheets in half so that you have 8 rectangles.
  3. Crumble the feta cheese into small pieces.
  4. Place a sheet of filo pastry on a work surface and brush it lightly with water.
  5. Place a small amount of feta at one end of the dough sheet and gently roll it up by folding the sides inwards and continuing to roll until you have a closed roll.
  6. Repeat this process with the remaining sheets of dough and the feta.
  7. Place the filled dough rolls on a baking tray and brush them with Minos extra virgin olive oil for frying .
  8. Bake the rolls for about 15 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove the rolls from the oven and immediately drizzle them with honey.
  10. Sprinkle the honey feta sticks with black sesame seeds and serve warm.
