Greek spinach pockets

Our spinach patties are perfect as a snack for cozy evenings with friends or as a starter for a special dinner. They are not only a feast for the palate, but also an easy way to bring the taste of Greece into your kitchen.

Ingredients for 3-4 people:

Preparation time: approx. 30 minutes

Baking time: approx. 30 minutes

Difficulty level: medium

  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a large frying pan, heat some Minos Extra Virgin Olive Oil for frying . Sauté the spinach until it wilts and the excess water has evaporated.
  3. Mix the fried spinach with the grated Gouda in a bowl.
  4. Halve the thawed filo dough. Brush each filo sheet with Minos Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and place two slices on top of each other.
  5. Place some of the spinach and gouda mixture in one corner of the phyllo double sheets. Fold the dough over the filling to form triangles. Repeat this process until all of the mixture is used up.
  6. Brush the top of the formed triangles with a little more Minos Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil .
  7. Sprinkle salt and dried oregano over the spinach pockets to taste.
  8. Bake the spinach pockets in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
