Stuffed zucchini flowers

The Greeks like to enjoy these delicious zucchini flowers as a meze, a small appetizer that goes perfectly with a glass of wine or ouzo. The crispy flowers with the creamy filling harmonize wonderfully with our aromatic fava dip. Ideal for convivial evenings with friends or as a special highlight at a Greek dinner.

Ingredients for 2 servings:

Preparation:

Difficulty level: medium

Preparation time: 45 minutes

  1. Wash the zucchini flowers carefully and remove the inner pistil. Let them drain well.
  2. Crumble the feta cheese into a bowl and mix it with the chopped onion, tomato and mint. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  3. Carefully fill each zucchini flower with the feta mixture, twisting the tips of the petals together to enclose the filling.
  4. Heat a frying pan with a little Minos extra virgin olive oil over medium heat. Fry the stuffed zucchini flowers until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the pan and drain on kitchen paper.

Tip: Our delicious fava dip goes well with this.
